Rosealyn and Ben’s Engagement

by | Engagement

There has to be something about southern gentlemen. I guess it has to be something about the culture down here. While Oklahoma isn’t part of the Deep South, it certainly has some Southern flair. It’s a place where the term “y’all” is as common as cornbread, and kindness is expected. It’s home to the rolling plains, the red dirt, and Stockyard City – the largest stocker/feeder cattle market in the world! Oklahoma certainly has its unique attributes.

I am originally from Washington State. The Great Northwest. I love the Northwest. It’s gorgeous and not too hot, and I have family there. If you aren’t keeping up with my blog series, Live Love Lyman, go catch up on my story! The short version is, I left Washington to go to Oklahoma Christian University (OC) and fell in love with a great guy from Texas. Now I live in Oklahoma, married to the love of my life – a southern gentleman.

Rosealyn is also from the Great Northwest. In fact, we went to church camp together! We both went to OC, and we ended up at the same church. It’s incredible how life works sometimes! Anyway, while Rosalyn was teaching, she met Ben – a sweet but quiet southern young man. As I said, there’s just something about southern gentlemen. The two of them fell in love, and it wasn’t long before they knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. How romantic is that!

Ben and Rosealyn are absolutely perfect together. During our session, it was so apparent that they love to have fun, and they love each other. That made us happy too! To Ben and Rosealyn, we hope these images fill you with joy and laughter for years to come and serve as a reminder of where your love journey started. We are so happy for you and cannot wait to celebrate with you on your big day in July! Congratulations, you two!
